The Certificate in Graduate Liberal Studies (MINI-MALS) enables students to take advantage of our courses without committing to a full MA degree.
It may be useful for students seeking personal or professional enrichment on particular subjects. Or it may help in developing the softer skills that reports from organizations like the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation have shown are much sought after by employers, skills such as in communication, writing, creative thinking, teamwork, reasoning, and problem-solving.
The MINI-MALS program is also available for MALS students who find that they are not able to complete the full MALS degree. Likewise, MINI-MALS students can transfer into the MALS program at any time. In both cases, students simply need to complete an Application for Program Transfer form.
